Chamber Choir of the Department of Sacred Music and Musicology
The University of Greifswald's Chamber Choir at the Department of Sacred Music and Musicology focuses on a-capella works. The Choir was founded at the former sacred music school in Greifswald - choral singing is part of training for sacred musicians. The Chamber Choir was led by the respective heads of the training centre, including Hans Pflugbeil and Manfred Schlenker. Intensive periods of work take place before the start of each winter semester, followed by a concert tour. In recent years, the choir has travelled to Austria, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Switzerland, Finland and Italy.
The choir is led by Prof. Frank Dittmer.
Rehearsals take place on Tuesdays at 6 p.m. Guests are very welcome!
